It re-started with a wine and design class. While I had done art when I was younger, I left it behind in the pursuit of school, sports, work, family, etc. At the wine and design class, I had such a good time making something, I decided to explore class opportunities in the area. Acrylics at the city parks department came first. Then, I took a workshop with a master painter and started adding: oils, watercolor, acrylic inks, collage, and more. My painting was a lab for experimentation and exploration.
And then everything locked down with COVID.
I continued to paint, but it was hard, especially with health issues that started before the lockdown and were diagnosed while we were all stuck at home. I had always wanted to do pottery, but it was hard to get into classes. So, I took advantage of the world re-opening and signed up to explore clay.
Now, I take time to explore both 2D and 3D art. I find things to make that I enjoy, and I hope that they bring joy to others as well. Life is too short to not find a little bit of happiness in it.
When life gives you lemons, make roadkill.
